Surgeon Dr. Wade Dosch Joins Specialty Breast Surgery Practice
SIOUX FALLS (Jan. 24, 2012) – Avera Medical Group is pleased to announce that Wade Dosch, MD, will become a partner in Avera Medical Group Comprehensive Breast Care as of Jan. 30, 2012. Dr. Dosch joins breast surgeon Dr. Julie Reiland in this practice.
Dr. Dosch is currently a surgeon with Avera Medical Group McGreevy 7th Avenue, and will continue to practice general surgery at the 7th Avenue clinic. He will move his breast cancer practice to Avera Medical Group Comprehensive Breast Care.
Dr. Dosch is making this change due to his special interest in providing diagnosis, surgery and long-term follow-up care for breast cancer and other breast disease. He is a member of the Avera Breast Center’s Breast Health Professional Advisory Board, and serves as Avera’s cancer liaison physician to the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. He also serves liaison physician to the CoC for the state of South Dakota. Dr. Dosch holds a medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine at Vermillion. He completed residency at Michigan State University at Lansing, and a surgical fellowship at Naval Hospital, Twenty-Nine Palms. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Dosch offers the latest surgical techniques and is also a sub-investigator in Avera’s groundbreaking research using IntraOperative Electron Radiation Therapy (IOeRT) in the treatment of early stage breast cancer.
